Western Machine Works

Western Machine Works was the original developer of hydraulically operated towing pin systems for tugs and offshore vessels. Western has manufactured over 300 tow pin units for customers world wide including: Foss Maritime Company, Seaspan International Ltd., Rivtow Marine Ltd., Crowley Marine Services, Tidewater Marine Inc., Atlantic Towing, SER sri - Italy and Tripmare - Spain.

The systems are available in single pin to five pin models with either one or two hold-down blocks and/or stern rollers. All components are combined in a single compact unit.

The hydraulic actuated Tow Pins and Cable Hold-Down are remotely controlled safely and quickly by one person, eliminating danger to crew manually placing pins and cable restriction devices in operation.

Western Machine Works' hydraulically actuated tow pin units provide much safer operation then manual pins and substantially reduce tow line wear.
