November 3, 2006 BC Ferries officially named and launched the newest addition to its fleet at a ceremony at Allied Shipbuilders in North Vancouver today. The MV Kuper, a $7 million, 32-vehicle ferry, will enter service on the Chemainus – Thetis Island – Kuper Island route early next year following training, certification and sea trials. Read more

August 18, 2005 A $2.2M competitive contract has been awarded to Allied Shipbuilders Limited, of North Vancouver, British Columbia, to refit the Canadian Coast Guard vessel CCGS Gordon Reid. Awarded on behalf of Fisheries and Oceans Canada, this contract will be completed in January 2006. Read more
